A perfect fall day

Today was my idea of a perfect fall day...

We bundled up this morning and headed off for the Apple Orchard. Lily and I met up with Amanda and Clara and we had fun in the corn maze, apple picking, climbing trees, putting babies in trees, and lots more.

I think the girls had a great time too- they loved chewing on the fresh apples!

When we finished picking apples we headed back to our place to bake with the apples. We made 5 batches of applesauce and 4 apple crisps. After Amanda and Clara left I made some great beef stew to finish the day off with a nice Autumn dinner!!

Lily loves to steal Mylo's food... The minute I put her down she crawls across the room straight for his food. I am constantly saying no and scooping it out!!

9 Month Fall Picture

We went on Sunday to get Lily's fall pictures taken at Zehrs... The photographer asked if she could use Lily for the fall setup model... So we got all the props and backgrounds free of charge and some extra pictures. She wanted to put Lily's picture in their catalogue... well when I went to pick up her pictures yesterday they pointed up on the wall.. there is a HUGE blowup of this print up for everyone to see!! I am such a proud Mama!!

Here, There and EVERYWHERE

WOW... Lily is everywhere!!! She is crawling and she is fast!! and when she gets to anything she can possibly climb on, she does!! I can't believe how much she has changed in the last week... she just loves to be on the go!!

She has also got soo good at blowing kisses, waving, and dancing (especially when 4 square comes on TV).

Today is Grandma Bev's birthday, but she is away on a trip... Lily still wanted to wish her a happy birthday and let her know that she is full out crawling now... Everywhere :)

Swimming!!

Today was Lily's first day of swimming lessons! We signed her up for the September session which is twice a week. We go on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. She LOVED them! She splashed all kinds, kicked her legs, tried to blow bubbles, and she played with a ball in the water. She loved watching the other kids in the class as well. The other kids ranged in age from 2 months to 2 years.

Here is a cute video we took at our family bbq last night. My little cousin Logan loves to dance and Lily loves to dance and watch him. There is also an extra little treat at 2:08 ;)

Busy Weekend!!

We had a very busy Labour Day weekend!

On Saturday we cleaned up around the house, ran errands and went to Avo & Ava's for a BBQ. We all brought Lily to the park and she had a great time!! Lily loves to play with Tia's Elsa and Erica... and she can't get enough attention from her Avo and Ava. She gets spoiled by everyone!


Sunday morning we went to Emma's 2nd Birthday Party where Lily had a great time watching all the kids play, and she joined right in! She really seems to observe what the other kids do and then attempt it herself, she gets really frustrated if she can't. She especially loved riding in the Little Tykes car and having the 2 year olds push her around in it.

When we got home Lily took a super long, much needed nap! When she woke up we brought her to a park here in town and she was loving it!!

Lily has started to enjoy the park even more than she used to. She giggles like crazy on the swings, she loves the slide, and each new piece of equipment we put her on she finds more facinating then the last! She is too cute for words at the park!















Monday morning we headed out to the Paris Fair where Lily was in the Baby Contest! We were expecting just over a dozen babies or so... well we got quite the shock when there were well over 150 babies, all between 3-10months! It was crazy!
















Lily was in 2 categories, "Dressed in your Sunday Best" and "9-10 months". The first had so many babies they narrowed it down to top 6, which Lily was in, but she didn't win. Lily did have quite the cheering squad- she is a very lucky girl! We want to thank everyone who came out to cheer her on! Lily did leave the Baby Show with a draw prize, an adorable Lamb.


















After the baby show we decided to stick around the fair for a bit! Nelson brought her on the Mary-go-Round... she thought it was pretty neat and liked seeing all of us when it came around.















She also went on a Pony ride, she really enjoyed that!! She kept trying to reach past the saddle to touch the pony... its was too cute! After that we put her in her stroller and she was sound asleep within 30 seconds!!




We finished off the long weekend with a BBQ at Aunt Shelly and Uncle Karls- Lily as always had a great time there- she loves all her cousins and always loves to play with cousin Logan!

Lily... A future artist??

Today was a beautiful day so a friend and I decided to take the opportunity to let the kids paint on some canvases outside. The girls did great and we all had a good time. Lily was too cute trying to spread the paint all over the canvas, and she only tried to eat it a few times! Both girls successfully coated themselves in paint- we decided just to fill the baby pool up with warm water and soap to clean them off!! Over all the day was a great success!!
